Time wastin’ Tuesday

So is it just me, or does everyone find it a bit of a trial shopping for theme party apparel, where the only way to get to said party is to drive one’s self, miles and miles into the suburbs, and back again, thereby ruling out drinking, and thereby forcing one to cope with several people from one’s work one really doesn’t have a great deal of time for stone cold sober?
So, ummmm, yeah… that was time wastin’ Tuesday. How was yours?
Being the only non drinker at a party is no fun.
Being the only non drinker at a work party is awful.
Being the only non drinker at a theme work party is TWT.
Mine was ordinary. I could have sworn TWT happened on the Monday.

My TWT ended with a blinding headache by the end of it (and not in a good - alcoholic - way either).

I’m off to Brussels at the weekend for a housewarming party with a hat theme!! Apparently (and don’y ask why cos I’ve no idea) there are horse shaped prizes for the best hats. HELP

Yes… it was a bit of a trial I must say, but I managed three hours… pretty good effort under the circumstances. I even stayed throughout the entire dreadful Elvis Karaoke… but that’s a whole story in itself, for another day!
Mez: Oh no! Hope you recovered sufficiently to start enjoying school holidays! I must admit to having a costume crisis in the hours before, and gave your idea some very serious thought. But I soldiered on, and the best part was the one person I was really hoping to avoid didn’t turn up! YESSSSSSSSSS!!!
phoenix: Yaaaaaaaaaay! How cool is that? Dashing over to Brussels for a party! And I thought I was so jetset going to Sydney for the weekend for a wedding. Funny part is, the distance is about the same!
